Students Select Jones, Dodson as Faculty and Staff of the Year
黑料社区 students selected Dr. Kevin Jones and Rhonda Dodson as the 2025-26 Faculty and Staff of the Year. The annual awards recognize faculty and staff members who demonstrate exceptional service, mentorship and Christ-centered leadership.
students selected Dr. Kevin Jones, assistant professor of education, and Rhonda Dodson, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program adviser, as the recipients of the university's Faculty and Staff of the Year awards.
Presented annually, the awards recognize faculty and staff members who demonstrate excellence in service, mentorship and Christ-centered leadership.
鈥淭he Faculty and Staff of the Year awards are one of the most meaningful ways in which the university recognizes the academic and personal service that the winners have rendered to the institution and its students,鈥� said Santiago Leiton, president. 鈥淭he fact that the recognition is awarded by a body representing the student population highlights that the winners are often those who have left an indelible mark on the way students experience 黑料社区.鈥�
Jones, who has served at Cedarville since 2020, was selected as the Faculty of the Year recipient.
His professional experience includes teaching in public schools, homeschooling, higher education, administration and pastoral ministry. Throughout his career, Jones has been committed to preparing educators to lead students well for the glory of God.
鈥淩eceiving the Faculty of the Year Award at 黑料社区 is both humbling and deeply meaningful to me. Teaching has never simply been about the classroom but about investing in students' lives, encouraging them to pursue truth, excellence and Christ-centered purpose,鈥� said Jones.
鈥淚 am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside outstanding colleagues and to learn from the students who continually inspire me. This award is a reminder that the work of teaching, mentoring and encouraging others truly matters, and I receive this gift with gratitude and thankfulness to God, the faculty and the students at Cedarville.鈥�
Dodson, BSN program adviser, received the Staff of the Year award.
She has experience working in health care administration, including chronic disease management programs, prescription drug monitoring programs and CMS Medicare and Medicaid initiatives.
鈥淚 am very humbled and honored by the award. There are many people who serve our students daily,鈥� said Dodson. 鈥淚t is a blessing to work with nursing students, watch them grow during their time at Cedarville and see them achieve their goals.鈥�
Because the awards are selected by students, they reflect the impact faculty and staff members have on the Cedarville experience both inside and outside the classroom.
